Midtown Center – Fannie Mae

Location: Washington, DC
Client: Clark Construction Group, LLC
Architect: SHoP and WDG

Manganaro Midatlantic performed the drywall an acoustical ceiling work for the 862,000 square foot Midtown Center on the site of the former Washington Post Building in the District of Columbia.  Our scope involved the base building core and shell as well as the fitout of 752,000 square feet for the primary tenant Fannie Mae.  The tenant work encompassed the entire west tower of the building and all but two floors on the east side.  A unique feature of the building is the three-dimensional ceiling made of panels of glass fiber reinforced plaster that spans the extensive plaza area.  The building is designed to achieve LEED Gold certification.
