PROJECT: General Contractor: Bovis Lend Lease The Tuscarora High School in Frederick, Maryland is scheduled to open in August 2003. The building is 212,000 square feet in size and two stories tall. The building exterior is completely clad in a tri-color blended brick, with a combination of CMU and metal stud frame backup. The completed project included 218,000 concrete blocks and 208,000 bricks. Interior masonry features include the two-story "Main Street" corridor with architectural brick veneer walls and masonry pilaster accents.

PROJECT: School of Law and Thurgood Marshall Law Libray General Contractor: Whiting-Turner Contracting Company Manganaro was honored with an award from the Baltimore Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors for the drywall work on this project. Completed in 2002, it includes classrooms, lecture halls, and administrative offices for the school of law as well as a new law library in an adjoining building. The challenging aspect of this project was the coordination, fabrication, and installation of hexagonal GRG columns and connecting segmented GRG arches. Manganaro provided exterior curtain wall framing, interior framing and drywall, and the acoustical ceiling work.
FEATURED
PROJECT: General Contractor: Clark Construction Group, Inc. This project consisted of five separate buildings: Residence Hall, Dining Facility, Jesuit Residence, Parking Garage and the Bus Maintenance Facility. The featured photo shows the main dining hall in the Dining Facility building. The ceiling is approximately 30 feet above the finished floor. The GRG column covers are partially installed.
